Make TACT Your Charity of the Year

TACT is a nationally recognised children’s charity with an exemplary reputation for providing loving and life transforming foster families for children and young people.  We are a leader in our field, demonstrated by the fantastic outcomes we achieve for our children, and the high level of positive engagement we have with government and media.

The children we look after are placed in foster care for a variety of reasons including physical or sexual abuse, neglect or witnessing domestic violence. Such stressful life events can impact a child’s ability to develop skills, learn information, and get along with other children and adults.  To help address this TACT runs activities and services which aim to build our children’s confidence, develop their social skills, improve their educational achievement, create a sense of self-worth and raise their aspirations.

As a charity we are dependent on voluntary income to support these life enhancing activities and services.

If you choose TACT as your Charity of the Year, we will work with you to create a bespoke range of activities, tailored to help meet your corporate social responsibility needs.  In return we can guarantee that all money raised will go directly to helping secure a brighter future for vulnerable children and young people in care.

It is a great opportunity to bring your employees together behind an important cause that they can feel passionate about. We will ensure your staff are fully appreciative of and engaged with the challenges and needs of children and young people who are in the care system.  And we can be on hand to advise on how your staff can get involved in fundraising activities, events, challenges and more.

Some of the fantastic projects for children and young people that voluntary income enables us to provide includes:

  • A number of regional activity days throughout the UK including our annual adventure weekend for young people.
  • Additional group sessions and therapeutic support for foster carers, caring for children with complex behaviours.
  • Individual therapeutic support for children and young people who require additional support.
  • Skills for Life workshops to support young people in their journey to independence.
  • Additional educational support for young people in exam preparation.
  • Membership of TACT Connect which supports care experienced young people throughout their lives.

Your company’s support really could give children and young people in care the chance of better futures.
