Children’s Minister joins TACT in calling for more foster carers

Children’s Minister Vicky Ford is supporting TACT’s bid to inspire more people to become foster carers. In a special recorded message for the fostering charity’s information Facebook event on the 3 March, she has urged people to come forward and find out more about fostering.

The minister said: “There could not be a better time to offer a child or children a stable loving home.. I’d like to personally invite anyone who feels that they could play a part in such an important area to make the most of their time .. with TACT to ask questions.”

The Facebook event is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about what it takes to be a foster carer. There will be the opportunity to meet one of our brilliant foster carers and our CEO Andy Elvin, as well as hear from Vicky Ford.

Vicky Ford said: ”Making the decision to become a foster carer is not easy but we need you and people like you to come forward and join us in our efforts to make sure that all children can benefit from the stability and security of a loving home.”
