TACT North West carer Karen, from Greater Manchester, discusses below why she chose to foster with TACT and what she loves about being a foster carer.
Why foster in Rochdale with TACT?
TACT is the UK’s largest dedicated fostering charity. We have been providing nurturing and caring homes for vulnerable young people since 1993.
Working closely with Rochdale Borough Council, we help provide caring and nurturing foster homes for vulnerable young people. Being a charity means that we can reinvest significantly in more support and training for our foster carers. For example, we have additional support platforms and networks such as our Education and Health services. Our online foster carer portal ensures that helpful information is always available. TACT’s Connect community ensures that our care-experienced young people continue to receive support into adulthood and beyond.
This is why 98% of our carers would recommend us to others thinking of fostering.
“We feel very lucky to have found TACT. The fact that TACT is a charity appealed to us – and our social workers, as well as the wider team, have been brilliant. We have had the best support ever.”
