Post Adoption Service

TACT is the UK’s largest Fostering & Adoption charity, with over 600 foster carers & adopters across England, Scotland and Wales. We’ve been helping to provide loving families for vulnerable children for 25 years.

We are not currently recruiting adopters and are acting as a post adoption agency only, actively providing support to those who have adopted with us in the past as and when they need this.

We find that adopters and their children may not need adoption support services immediately after adoption, that is why our team are here whenever the need arises. We offer a full range of advice, information and counselling as well as therapeutic services and support groups.

There are many organisations that offer a variety of support, counselling or therapeutic services such as:

• First4Adoption – a national information service for people interested in adopting a child.
• Adoption UK – founded by adoptive parents to offer support, information and advice.
• Family Lives – provides support to parents to deal with the changes of part of family life.
• New Family Social – provides support and improves the treatment of LGBT+ people in the adoption and fostering process.
