TACT need new foster families more than ever before. If you have a spare bedroom, and the time to provide love and care to a vulnerable child, we’d love to hear from you.

Our foster carers receive up to £450 per week, per child that they care for. To show our appreciation, you will also have access to a full range of other benefits  as a TACT foster carer.

You will receive 24/7 support throughout your fostering journey. You will also have access to specialist services such as educational and therapeutic support.

You will be joining a not-for-profit organisation that has over 25 years experience in supporting our foster carers. We are experts in what we do and that’s why 98% of our carers recommend us.

You will have a training and development programme designed specifically for you that will help you to develop your skills and experiences as a foster carer.

Our foster carers come from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and ethnic groups. We believe the most important criteria for becoming a foster carer is your ability to listen and empathise and to provide a safe, stable and loving home for the children you care for.

To be able to start your fostering journey with TACT, we do ask that you meet the following criteria:

  • You must be over 21 years old
  • You must have a spare bedroom
  • You must have the time and availability to dedicate yourself to fostering
