Contract - Zero Hours Contract

Hours - Variable - Between 28 to 56 hours per month

Location - Homebased but working with Fostering Panel's in England, Scotland and Wales

As a ‘not for profit’ organisation, TACT puts the needs of our children and carers first and look to appoint individuals who are as passionate about fostering as we are. We know that we cannot provide exceptional levels of care without our staff which is why we prioritise their wellbeing. As a hybrid working organisation, we pride ourselves on our flexible working opportunities, an extensive wellbeing programme and our benefits package, all curated to support a healthy work life balance for all our staff.

This is an exciting opportunity to join TACT in a unique role, impacting on the quality of services we provide across England, Scotland and Wales.

The Fostering Agency Decision Maker must have senior management experience, and at least three years post qualification in social work with experience of managing children's services. In line with legal requirements for this role, the Fostering Decision Maker will not be in a position that has managerial responsibility or accountability for the recruitment and retention of foster carers within TACT.

The successful applicant will make all decisions relating to the approval status of prospective and approved foster carers, about whom the TACT Fostering Panel makes recommendations regarding their suitability to foster, and therefore the Agency Decision Maker will need to be familiar with relevant care related legislation for carers located across England, Scotland and Wales.

This role is a key element of the core services delivered by the TACT, and the ADM will support the effective delivery of quality services to families and children through contribution to the wider management of the organisation. The role will also be required to support and ensure TACT develop a more Trauma Informed approach to care and practice as this is a strategic priority for the organisation.

This is zero hours post that enables flexible working, remotely and the successful applicant will manage their time in line with TACT's deadlines and schedules.

An Enhanced DBS clearance is required and will be processed by TACT on your behalf.
